Shelley works with stained glass, mirror, metals, crystals, and gemstones. Childhood memories of living in the mountains of Colorado, metaphysical sciences, sacred geometry, a love of geology, and an interest in the mysteries of ancient civilizations swirl together to create the playing ground for her inspirations. Shelley creates whimsical energy fields with her art that is intended to interact with the energy field of the viewer. The colors, design, and materials for each piece are infused with love and joyful intent creating layers of meaning to explore. She works with the colors and frequencies associated with the Chakra system, a network of individual energy centers located throughout the body. Shelley utilizes mirror both for its function, but also in hidden ways to create reflective elements to draw people into themself while engaging with her art.

July 1-31, 2021 Group Exhibition For this gallery and online exhibition Las Laguna Art Gallery invited artists 50 or older to submit their works. As we grow older, the maturity and insight life has given us multiplies. The viewpoints and experiences that come with age are invaluable lessons to us all on how to live life - and live it well. This month we will celebrate the talent and wisdom of the artist over 50. Many of the artists who submitted to this exhibition have spent half a life-time honing their skills and their craft. A few in our selection are new to art but they bring with them a myriad of experiences which helps create and inform their art. We are pleased to present to you The 2nd Half. Works in this exhibition include Acrylic, Assemblage, Charcoal, Color Pencil, Collage, Digital Art, Drawings, Encaustic, Fiber Art, Graphite, Illustration, Mixed Media, New Media, Oil, Painting, Pastel, Photography (Traditional and Digital), and Watercolor. This show runs the entire month of July. "With age, art and life become one.” George Braque
