Ethereal Glass explores and plays with light, reflection, and patterns through the mosaics of Shelley Beaumont. Looking back to early days of endless curiosity, she was drawn to the playfulness of light and the grounding of symmetry in nature. Inspired by the metaphysical, her art seeks to understand how energy, color, and healing can be imbued into art. She uses gemstones and natural minerals for their luster, beauty, dimension, and also for their energetic properties. Glass art, with its inherent complex patterns, depth, and reflective qualities, is mysteriously beautiful and intriguing. Artist Bio Shelley Beaumont is a mosaic artist with a passion to create art that explores and plays with light, reflection, and patterns. She often uses mirrors as a tool to create light and reflection underneath glass and gemstones as part of the structure. The layers create interesting areas for their eyes to rest when exploring a piece. Shelley particularly enjoys making decorative mirror frames as they provide the opportunity to explore reflection of one’s surface self and the deeper more interesting inner self. She becomes a conduit for an energy that wants to be expressed and allows the final design and pattern to emerge organically. She loves traveling both in the United States and internationally for educational opportunities and to attend gem and lapidary shows in search of materials.

Light & Shade: Group Exhibition We awake each morning seeking the light and retire each evening, slowly slipping into the darkness. For this exhibition Las Laguna Art Gallery asked artists to explore the idea and notion of Light & Shade. We wanted to see how they might explore subject such as luminescence, lightness, shadows or blackness. The end result is a unique exhibition that includes works from artists across the globe. Some works are literal, some works are representational and some works philosophical darkeness. Works in this show include acrylic, oil, watercolor, encaustic, pyrography, traditional and digital photography, mixed media, collage, and more. I have "Life is Sweet and So am I" on display.

July 1-31, 2021 Group Exhibition For this gallery and online exhibition Las Laguna Art Gallery invited artists 50 or older to submit their works. As we grow older, the maturity and insight life has given us multiplies. The viewpoints and experiences that come with age are invaluable lessons to us all on how to live life - and live it well. This month we will celebrate the talent and wisdom of the artist over 50. Many of the artists who submitted to this exhibition have spent half a life-time honing their skills and their craft. A few in our selection are new to art but they bring with them a myriad of experiences which helps create and inform their art. We are pleased to present to you The 2nd Half. Works in this exhibition include Acrylic, Assemblage, Charcoal, Color Pencil, Collage, Digital Art, Drawings, Encaustic, Fiber Art, Graphite, Illustration, Mixed Media, New Media, Oil, Painting, Pastel, Photography (Traditional and Digital), and Watercolor. This show runs the entire month of July. "With age, art and life become one.” George Braque
